    Apexi smart acell controll

Ive been looking at throttle controls for a while now, and initially heard here that it wasnt worth the while.
However after talking to a guy that had one installed on his Lexus i decided to give the Apexi one a try.

I have to say that ok this mod doesnt ad any power to the engine, but still it opens up and let you use the engines power in a more effective way, knowing what i know now
this would have been the first modification i would have done.

Having used it in different modes and trying it out for a little more than a week now im very satisfied.
It makes a huge difference in the sporty red setting, mostly noticable in the lower gears.
But some of the eco setting is also usefull for when comuting.

When the car starts the system doesnt start by itself, so i have tried just getting the engine warm enough
and then really flooring it without and with the throttle controll on, and it makes a difference that is very clear according to me. The lag in completely gone when using red setting, it feels like driving with a classic throttle.
Most noticable is when driving in 2nd or 3rd and starting to accelerate, if you take a corner and downshift its a very sporty feeling.

It took me maybe 30 mins to install, so its very easy and straightforward.

All in all, i highly recommend an throttle controll for spirited driving.

Us Brits would say cable throttle, which applies to both carburettors and throttle bodies on fuel injected cars. Drive-by-wire would mean electronic throttle.

Good to know, Joakim. I might put this back on my mods list.

Hmmm, I always wondered if this would be a helpful mod. I have quite a big power dip at low revs, could this mod help with that too?
