So it does 0-60 in 7 seconds dead, costs $2k less (in Oz) than a Fiesta ST or Poolo GTI and $5k less than a Clio RS. It also comes loaded with kit that won't be standard on the Ford or VW.

Sounds fair to me, and the reviewers seem to like it too. Sometimes I think you lot want a f****** unicorn.

Hahaha! You are spot on! In comparision you have to take account to the level of gagets and Equipment.

Also, have a look at the pics of the new shape from Tokyo Auto Salon, I have to say ive completely
changed mymind about the new one. The sport is really nice and with some aftermarket goodies its just wow!

Really like the look of the car anyways but some of those pics are pretty awesome. Less impressed by the engine. Theres a shot of the engine in the HKS car and further on a list of what they've done to it. Full induction kit, high flow metal cat, hybrid turbine for the turbo, turbo back exhaust........163PS. Da fuq?

The could probably get more if the turn the turbo preasure up.
But that means other pistons etc.
I Think in the next year we will see other numbers for tuned Swifts.

Also 163 hp doesnt sound like much, but the car is under the tonne in weight!

Yeah, most of the hot hatches get gains close to that off just a remap for a couple of hundred quid. That level of work (plus an FMIC) would usually get you anything up to a 50% increase over stock.

    Another review from Australia

Probably the most positive yet but does also raise questions about the price.

Doesn't seem unreasonable. Suzuki have made a lot of noise about the Heartect chassis and its increased rigidity and reduced weight. Thats exactly the sort of thing that should make a car feel and drive better than an older version.
