    The same heavy flywheel causes the revs to hang when upshifting, resulting in clumsy/jerky gear changes when trying to hustle the car along.
    Without the heavy flywheel, triples in cars are easy to stall and can struggle when going up hills.

    The more cylinders a car has, the lighter the flywheel can be because there's no need to smooth-out 'missing' firing pulses. Lighter flywheel improves engine response and gives better upshifts when accelerating.

    Nice Benelli. With an Arrow can on, I'm not surprised it sounds good !

    I've yet to drive a 3 cylinder-engined car, so can't really comment on them other than to say they seem a bit agricultural. I guess they'll get better with more common use. I'm glad Suzuki are sticking with 4 cylinders for their cars though.
